Housing LIN
Headlines such as the above in the Observer on Sunday have been prominent in national media and trade press following a report by the Intergeneration Foundation, 'Hoarding of Housing: The intergeneration crisis in the housing market'. The issue of downsizing and under-occupancy is not new to the Housing LIN and we have published several useful papers on developing the housing market for older people, the economic case and practical issues experienced by older people. Indeed, the recent APPG Housing and Care for Older People Inquiry report, 'Living Well at Home', stated:
'We need to change our thinking about housing and older people from one of delivering specialist services to more market driven, mainstream consumer choice'
