With less than a month to go until London Health 2011, the South London HIEC is preparing to showcase its work on nursing networks on a pan London basis.
Aileen Palanisamy, facilitator for the practice nurse network, will join Laurence Benson, SW London lead for the HIEC, to present the project. Aileen, who works in a GP Practice in Woolwich, has been a practice nurse for more than two decades.
The project – supported by NHS London – seeks to bring together practice nurses and community matrons in role based professional networks. These networks are designed to give a collective voice to these groups, who often work in isolation, and also to allow nurses to share their experience and learn from each other.
London Health 2011 will be held at the Business Design Centre in Islington on Tuesday 15 November. Seminars are free, so please register now if you want to find out more about the HIEC’s work on nursing networks and other innovative projects from across London.
